My Years at SMS...

After all these years at SMS it's finally coming to end. I've had so much fun over the years. I'm gonna miss my friends, who have become family, so much. I have no idea what my life would be like if I'd never met my friends. I get pretty depressed just thinking about it! One of my favorite memories is going to ELC and spending a week with everyone! I really hope I'll be able to stay in touch with my friends in high school! Thanks to everyone for so many great years!

Me and one of my BFF's, Tessa.

Borrowing Money

For 21st Century class we watched some videos on borrowing money. I learned that if you borrow money  from the bank, you have to do some research and find the plan that's right for you. If you choose a plan that's not right, you could end up having to pay a big amount of money for a short period of time, and you could easily fall behind on your payments. If you choose the right plan, it will be much easier to manage your money, and get your payments in on time. It's also important that you don't overspend and get into major debt, because it will be hard to get out of it later.

Nominated Blog

I want to nominate this blog because she posts on it often and it has lots of color. I love the little fox she has! She does a great job of completing the challenges and has lots of gadgets!

Foods

So, another random post, but I'm bored. So I decided I would write about all the weird foods I've had.
Rattlesnake- I don't remember where I had it. I think it was Arizona. Anyway, we at this restaraunt and I was with all my cousins. Weirdly enough, it tasted like chicken.
Swordfish- Yeah, I know, it sounds disgusting, but when you drench it in sauce and eat it with noodles it's pretty good. I had it at Disney World.
Caviar- There's nothing I can really say about it, except that I didn't like it too much. Tasted like fish. Had it at Disney World.
Ratatouille- It's not exactly weird, but it's interesting. I liked it. Again, I had it at Disney World.
If I think of anymore I'll add them on!

Coconut

So, this is kinda random, but a couple weeks ago on friday, we got a new puppy! Her name is Coconut (which explains the title), and she's soooo cute! She's a mix between a Shihtzu and a Bichon Frise, a.k.a. a teddy bear puppy! Here's a picture of her!

ELC!

So, as you probably know(if you read my earlier post) our eighth grade class went up to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center (ELC) for a week, and we had a great time! Some things that we did were rock climbing, hiking, a ropes course, and a lot of walking! It was my room's chaperon's birthday the second day we were there, so we surprised her by decorating the day room and the outside of the door! It was so cool! She really appreciated it! The ropes course was thirty feet up and had a lot of things in it like a wooden bridge, a wire with "railings", two logs, a single wire without "railings", a single log, and then you came back down to the ground on a zip line! It was so much fun! The last day I was there I went on a superior view hike where we hiked to the top of a mountain and saw Lake Superior. It was so pretty! The teachers tried to play a prank on us the last night we were there, but we found out and totally blew it! Some of my class had no idea what even happened! Including me :)! We also had a class about beavers and stream study. In beavers we walked down 200 plus stairs and looked for signs of beavers. We saw a lot of beaver trails(also called drags), a beaver lodge, and a dam. If you followed the drags you could see a lot of the wood being chewed up. It was pretty cool. In stream study we took samples of Sawmill Creek to see how much life is there. Then we started seeing what life we could find. A couple people caught some crayfish. We did lots of other stuff, but it would take me WAY too long to type it all! We had an awesome time, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to go!
